Hate Crimes Vote Approaching

We have been on vacation for the past 10 days. We hope you have been able to enjoy some of the wonderful summer weather we have been having. If not, please take some time off every day and spend it with the Lord. He is more refreshing than 1,000 vacations.

Many life altering issues are facing us as a nation. The Hate Crimes legislation cited below is one of them. Please read the blog below and act.

Shalom to all. Ellen~~

In September, when the U.S. congress convenes, the Hate Crimes legislation will come to a vote. Even without Hate Crimes laws on the books, churches are beginning to have problems and are being accused of hate crimes. We can not allow the Hate Crimes bill to become the law of the land.

Please read the email we got from Don Wildman and the American Family Association (below) and see the kind of problems the Hate Crimes bill would cause the church. If Hate Crimes legislation becomes law, there would be no remedy for the situation cited below. Churches would be forced to compromise their beliefs or be prosecuted in a court of law.

PRAY: that the Hate Crimes bill never becomes law in the U.S. Ask God for mercy for the Church and the U.S. Ask for favor with Senator Clinton and Senator Schumer. Ask God to move in a mighty way to prevent this bill from becoming law.

TAKE ACTION: Call Senator Clinton and Senator Schumer and ask them to vote against the Hate Crimes bill. Also, go the our 'Contact Our Government' page and send emails to Senators Clinton and Schumer. They think the Hate Crimes bill, if passed, will not make problems for the church. Use the information from the American Family Association (below) to educate them as to the true consequences for the church. Also, sign the petition below.

"Church in Dallas refuses to bow down to homosexual pressure

There is a battle taking place in Dallas. It is a battle trying to force a church to lower their Scriptural standards to meet homosexual demands.

When High Point Church refused to allow their building to be used [for] a memorial service celebrating homosexuality [in the life of a deceased homosexual man], the homosexuals became very upset and started a campaign of harassment and public ridicule aimed at High Point.

If those pushing the homosexual agenda get their "hate crimes" bill passed into law, this is only a sample of what churches, pastors and Christians can expect.

Click here to read the news article about this situation.
Click here to read the church's statement regarding their refusal to bow down to the homosexual demands.

Take Action
Sign the petition of support for Pastor Gary Simons and members of High Point Church thanking them for taking a stand for Biblical standards and refusing to bow down to activist homosexuals.

Thank you for caring enough to get involved. Please help us get this information into the hands of as many people as possible by forwarding it to your family and friends.

Sincerely,
Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman American Family Association "
