An Eye Opener, USA or NAU?

I love being an American. I love our rich Christian history and the Christian foundations of our country. I love the Christian Founding Fathers, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and equal justice under the law. I love our representative democracy and the right and obligation to vote. I love living in America. I love America's beauty -- the mountains, lakes, rivers, canyons, farmlands, rolling hills, oceans and on and on. I love apple pie but not baseball. I love freedom of speech and that I won't be thrown in jail for not liking baseball.

I am very concerned that this country that I love is on a course leading to oblivion. We are already engaged in a process that will eliminate our sovereign boarders and create a seamless North American Union with Canada and Mexico. Every President since President Carter has been working toward that goal. Some call it the New World Order.

To read about this issue I refer you to:
Intercessors for America's website, http://www.ifapray.org/. Click on 'North American Union' (in yellow) and read about the plans our Presidents have been working on behind our backs. It's a must read.

Next, go to the Daily Jot http://www.dailyjot.com/ and scroll down to August 20 "Bush Meets in Secrecy to accelerate North American Union" and August 17 "Cunning Politics Selling Out U. S. Sovereignty"

When you have read about all you can stomach, get on your knees and pray that we will never loose our sovereignty, our government, our Constitution or our freedom.

Shalom~~

Stand In The Gap For America

PRESIDENTIAL QUOTE

No man can study the movement of modern civilization from an impartial standpoint and not realize that Christianity and the spread of Christianity are the basis of hope of modern civilization in the growth of popular self-government. The spirit of Christianity is pure democracy. It is equality of man before God—the equality of man before the law, which is, as I understand it, the most God-like manifestation that man has been able to make.
William Howard Taft, in an address to a missionary gathering in 1908

William Howard Taft, one of a long line of believing Christian Presidents, has succinctly stated that the foundational and fundamental belief system for a democracy to work is Christianity -- a belief system based on the Scripture and the Ten Commandments.

It's funny then, if that is true, that the ACLU and others are making every effort to remove from the public consciousness any vestige of the Ten Commandments and to stop every vibration of the Christian voice in society at large. The truth is that when a society no longer embraces the morality and virtue set forth in the Scripture, democracy breaks down, rule of law turns into rule of special interests, corruption invades big business and eventually big business rules the government. A bribe, today, can buy the OK for a dangerous chemical substance to be marketed and used in food, a bribe can buy the OK for dangerous drugs to be sold to the public, a bribe in the form of lobby money and favor can buy the votes of Senators and Representatives. In a nation that is determined to remove every shred of Christianity out of politics and the public square, a moral void develops whose vacuous domain eventually will lead to the downfall of that nation.

We must stand in the gap for America. Relentless efforts are being made to marginalize and ultimately expunge all Christian influence from society. The Fairness Doctrine, which applies only to conservative and Christian programming, if passed would shut down many Christian programs. See previous blogs for details. Hate Crimes legislation is aimed at stopping the Christian voice on gay marriage and homosexuality. It also creates a more than equal group of people and is unconstitutional. That doesn't seem to matter to many Senators and Representatives. They have been brainwashed by lies or bought by lobbyists. The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) would force Christian business owners, Christian ministries and Christian Churches to hire homosexuals and lesbians or be sued. We are being inundated by hostile, anti-Christian legislation. We can and we must wake up to the consequences of continued silence and acquiescence.

Fast and Pray
Now is the time for Christians to stand up and fight. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds. Satan has a strong hold on our government and on our media. I challenge every Christian who reads this blog entry to fast and pray for America. Pray for our government and our government officials. Ask God for mercy. Ask Him to cleanse us and to heal our land.

Be strong in the Lord!!!

Does God see what we do when we are far away?

"Am I only a God nearby," declares the LORD, "and not a God far away? Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?" declares the LORD. "Do not I fill heaven and earth?" declares the LORD. Jeremiah 23:23-24 (NIV)

I remember the feeling of freedom from parental restraint when I went on a trip to a friend's house who lived in another city while I was in high school. Many times, when we are far from home, temptation to do things we wouldn't ordinarily do becomes strong. Having said that, I find it appalling that Americans, who are traveling abroad, account for around 14% of the people who frequent the brothels where child sex trafficking occurs. By child sex trafficking I mean paying for sex with children 4 years old and over who have been sold by their parents or abducted and are kept prisoner in the brothels in which they exist (I hesitate to use the word live -- this is not living as anyone would want to describe it.). These Americans rationalize that, since sex with children is legal in the countries where they are traveling, it must be OK to use the children imprisoned in the brothels for their own twisted pleasure. Again, I find this absolutely and totally appalling.

I refer you to the Justice for Children International website where you can find out more about this terrible crime and perhaps get involved in raising awareness and stopping this hideous practice. Please pray for the children who are trapped in this way of life. Ask God to stop this practice.

May God continually bless and strenghten you as you stand for righteousness and do what is necessary to occupy until Jesus returns.

Hate Crimes Bill Traditional Values Coalition Article

PRESIDENTIAL QUOTE

"No man can study the movement of modern civilization from an impartial standpoint and not realize that Christianity and the spread of Christianity are the basis of hope of modern civilization in the growth of popular self-government. The spirit of Christianity is pure democracy. It is equality of man before God—the equality of man before the law, which is, as I understand it, the most God-like manifestation that man has been able to make."
William Howard Taft, in an address to a missionary gathering in 1908

Our nation was founded on Christian Principles and runs on Christian Principles. If and when our country no longer stands on the Christian Principles which have made us great, we will cease to be a great nation and may ultimately loose our sovereignty. The Hate Crimes Bill before the Senate in Washington D. C. seeks to silence the voice of the Christian Church in regard to perverted sexual practices. These very practices, which when they are embraced by a nation or society, have caused the demise of that nation or society within one generation's time. We can not allow that to happen here in America.

You may already have contacted you Senators and Representative regarding the Hate Crimes Bill. When you called or wrote, the Legislative Aid probably said that the Hate Crimes Bill says nothing about stopping free speech. You may have been told verbally or in a letter that the Hate Crimes Bill says nothing about religious freedom or free speech or thoughts and thought crimes. They may even be so confused that they may have said they are voting for equal justice for everyone (they're seeking to insure homosexuals get equal justice, something they already have. What they really are doing is insuring homosexuals extra or super powered justice compared to the rest of us).

The following is an article from our Traditional Values Coalition News Site that I thought you would be interested in. It talks about the repercussions for Christians should Hate Crimes Legislation be passed and the cover up and misinformation being fed to the press and our Senators and Representatives. You can go to our Home Page and scroll down on the Traditional Values News Site and read the article there or you can read it here:

"Representative Steve Cohen (D-TN) Misleads Voters On So-called ‘Hate Crime” Vote
August 2, 2007 –

The Traditional Values Coalition challenges the statements of Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) that he is using to justify his vote for a pro-homosexual/transgender bill in the House in May 2007.

Rep. Cohen has claimed in the Commercial Appeal (Aug. 2, 2007) that the so-called hate crimes bill, H.R. 1592, Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act, will not threaten religious freedom or speech. He claims pastors who have contacted him about his vote are wrong to worry about it. His statement is patently false,” said TVC Chairman Rev. Louis P. Sheldon.

Rep. Cohen’s claim that the so-called hate crimes bill will not impact a pastor’s sermon against homosexuality isn’t supported by the language of the bill itself. His claim is based on an alleged religious freedom amendment offered by Rep. Artur Davis (D-AL).

Mr. Davis claimed that his amendment was designed to protect religious freedom, it accomplishes nothing. Under the current language, freedom of speech and religion are protected – BUT ONLY if the speech isn’t “relevant” to the crime committed.

Futhermore, Representative Davis admitted during the markup that the legislation will not protect a pastor from prosecution under this bill. During the debate, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), a former judge, forced Representative Artur Davis to admit that if a minister preaches that sexual relations outside of marriage of a man and woman is wrong, and somebody within that congregation causes bodily injury to a person, that the sermon or teachings could be used in evidence against the minister. (From the transcript of the hearing, 4-25-07, page 205)

As Rev. Sheldon has state previously, “H.R. 1592 will set the legal framework in place for the eventual investigation, persecution and prosecution of pastors or others who criticize homosexual or cross-dressing behaviors. Once homosexuality and transgenderism are considered specially-protected classes in federal law, radical activists will begin to target ‘hate speech’ as an incitement to violence against homosexuals/transgenders.”

Liberals voted to put a meaningless phrase into H.R. 1592 that supposedly protects religious freedom, but the phrase is window-dressing to get votes. Liberal judges will ignore any such phrase in the legal cases sure to follow. The Senate version of H.R. 1592 is S. 1105 being pushed by Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA) and his homosexual allies.

TVC exposed the phony “findings” used by liberals to justify passage of this bill. They quietly removed the findings before final passage in the U.S. House of Representatives.
TVC urges all Memphis citizens to read and distribute our report, “H.R. 1592 – Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act Of 2007,” to understand the dangers that this legislation poses to religious freedom and free speech."

Hate Crimes legislation is a direct assault on our Religious Freedom and our Freedom of Speech.

Please PRAY that it never is passed into Federal law. Please TAKE ACTION and call your Senators and let them know how you want them to vote. If you have already contacted them, call them again to remind them of your position. Use the information above to enlighten them as to the consequences to Christian Freedom of Speech if this bill is passed.

Many Blessings~~~

Hate Crimes Vote Approaching

We have been on vacation for the past 10 days. We hope you have been able to enjoy some of the wonderful summer weather we have been having. If not, please take some time off every day and spend it with the Lord. He is more refreshing than 1,000 vacations.

Many life altering issues are facing us as a nation. The Hate Crimes legislation cited below is one of them. Please read the blog below and act.

Shalom to all. Ellen~~

In September, when the U.S. congress convenes, the Hate Crimes legislation will come to a vote. Even without Hate Crimes laws on the books, churches are beginning to have problems and are being accused of hate crimes. We can not allow the Hate Crimes bill to become the law of the land.

Please read the email we got from Don Wildman and the American Family Association (below) and see the kind of problems the Hate Crimes bill would cause the church. If Hate Crimes legislation becomes law, there would be no remedy for the situation cited below. Churches would be forced to compromise their beliefs or be prosecuted in a court of law.

PRAY: that the Hate Crimes bill never becomes law in the U.S. Ask God for mercy for the Church and the U.S. Ask for favor with Senator Clinton and Senator Schumer. Ask God to move in a mighty way to prevent this bill from becoming law.

TAKE ACTION: Call Senator Clinton and Senator Schumer and ask them to vote against the Hate Crimes bill. Also, go the our 'Contact Our Government' page and send emails to Senators Clinton and Schumer. They think the Hate Crimes bill, if passed, will not make problems for the church. Use the information from the American Family Association (below) to educate them as to the true consequences for the church. Also, sign the petition below.

August 15, 2007 Email from American Family Association

"Church in Dallas refuses to bow down to homosexual pressure

There is a battle taking place in Dallas. It is a battle trying to force a church to lower their Scriptural standards to meet homosexual demands.

When High Point Church refused to allow their building to be used [for] a memorial service celebrating homosexuality [in the life of a deceased homosexual man], the homosexuals became very upset and started a campaign of harassment and public ridicule aimed at High Point.

If those pushing the homosexual agenda get their "hate crimes" bill passed into law, this is only a sample of what churches, pastors and Christians can expect.

Click here to read the news article about this situation.
Click here to read the church's statement regarding their refusal to bow down to the homosexual demands.

Take Action
Sign the petition of support for Pastor Gary Simons and members of High Point Church thanking them for taking a stand for Biblical standards and refusing to bow down to activist homosexuals.

Thank you for caring enough to get involved. Please help us get this information into the hands of as many people as possible by forwarding it to your family and friends.

Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman American Family Association "
