Israel, Iraq's Scapegoat?

Praise God!!!!! We are thrilled to be online. It has been over 1/2 year since God put the vision in my heart for a website that would be used to educate, motivate and mobilize the Christian Community to become politically active and occupy. It is now a reality. Our website, http://www.nyfamilyinfo.net, is a clearing house composed of websites and news-sites which contain the information Christians need to be informed and to be able to interact with elected officials. We hope and pray you will become a daily visitor and God will use you to restore righteousness to our state and nation.

Many of us have become war weary longing and praying for the war to end and for our troops to come home. I admit that I could not understand President Bush's stubborn insistence on staying the course and sending more troops. Newscasters kept blasting Bush for ignoring the Iraq Study Group's advice to leave Iraq and probably many people have been agreeing with the newscasters. I was finding it odd that Katie Couric and I had the same feelings about the war. The only argument I heard being used to justify staying the course was the notion that if we left Iraq, they would (follow us home) attack us here on American soil. I had been lulled into thinking we were immune from attack. It didn't seem likely to me. Even Pat Robertson's prediction that we would be attacked again this September had little affect on me.

Yesterday changed everything: I received an urgent letter from Mike Evans (Jerusalem Prayer Team) which detailed the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group -- the Baker-Hamilton report. I was shocked when I read the Iraq Study Group's recommendations and filled with admiration and appreciation for President Bush's firm resolve to stay in Iraq with world opinion against him and dwindling support in America.

Mike Evans pointed out that the world is taking a course very similar to the course it took when Hitler was rising to power. The recommendations will astound you. The Iraq Study Group has determined that the war in Iraq would end if:

  • terrorists in Lebanon were allowed to return to Palestine.
  • the Palestinian Authority were given land-for-peace. ( Judea, Samaria, East Jerusalem)
  • the Golan Heights were returned to Syria with no preconditions.
  • Israel were to recognize the creation of a Palestinian state.
  • the United states would keep troops in the Golan Heights to insure that Israel would not be attacked by those who want to push Israel into the sea.

The report opines Israel is the root of all discord in the Middle East. The report suggests that Israel should be excluded from any regional peace talks held on the future of Iraq. The report outlines a peace conference to resolve the differences between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Syria and Lebanon but refuses to let Israel participate in the conference.

"The report fails to mention Ahmadinejad's threats to send some 52,000 trained suicide bombers into the streets of America; no mention of his desire to see Israel destroyed; no mention of the daily supply of Iranian-trained terrorists that infiltrate Iraq from Iran; no mention of the American troops killed by Iranian improvised explosive devices or the newest armor-piercing explosive-formed penetrators that remain intact as they explode. The steal tubes of the device form an kind of "super bullet" that can penetrate a tank's armor. The Iraq Study Group report calls for amnesty for the very terrorists that are attacking American troops under the guise of militia and especially, the 60,000 strong, Iranian-trained militia of Moqtada al-Sadr."

The Baker-Hamilton report is a plan to surrender to Iran and the Islamic facists in the Middle East; a plan to make Israel pay the appeasement price for peace in Iraq; and a plan that will ultimately allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons capabilities. Of the 79 recommendations proposed by the Iraq Study Group, there is not one recommendation as to how America might win in Iraq.

Israeli leaders say if we kiss and run, the terrorists will follow us home as they did in Israel which has sustained 20,000 attempted terrorist attacks. Netanyahu warns: the nuclear program in Tehran "goes way beyond the destruction of Israel -- it is directed to achieve world-wide range. It's a global program in the service of a mad ideology . . . Israel would certainly be the first stop on Iran's tour of destruction, but at the planned production rate of 25 nuclear bombs a year . . . [the arsenal] will be directed against 'the big Satan' (the U.S.) and the 'moderate Satan' (Europe)."

Syria and Iran are racist regimes that refuse to recognize Israel's right to exist. They say the Holocaust never happened, and want Jews wiped off the map. Appeasing them is not the answer to our war in Iraq. In fact, appeasement only makes them more militant. Therefore, giving away Israeli land for peace will not work. And, if we do, our nation will be cursed. God's Word says, "I will bless those that bless thee, and curse those that curse thee." Also, Joel 3:2 reads: "2I will gather all nations and will bring them down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, and there will I deal with and execute judgment upon them for [their treatment of] My people and of My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations and [because] they have divided My land." Amplified Bible (AMP).

We dare not agree to chop up Israel.

In a World Religions class in the 1960's, I learned that the Muslim meaning of the word 'peace' is different that ours. By 'peace' they mean world domination. When the whole world is under Islamic control and Shirrea Law, then they will have achieved peace. No amount of appeasement will make them peaceful as we understand the word.

Pray that President Bush will stand to protect Israel. Pray that Condoleeze Rice and the President will realize that land-for-peace will not work. I am thankful for the President's stand against terriorist escalation in Iran and Syria, and his stand to keep the terrorists out of the United States. I, for one, would rather fight terrorists on foreign soil that on our own. If you agree, call and tell him you are in favor protecting Israel, our friend and ally, and ask him not to give land-for-peace. Ask him not to agree to give any of Israel's land away. Palestinians already have a Palestinian state, Jordon. God has given Israel her land and we dare not negotiate it away. I'm sure he would appreciate hearing your views about Israel and the war.
